Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiographer I to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a Radiographer I, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Develop and process radiographic images, ensuring high-quality results
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Current certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RRT) or eligible for certification
  • Illinois Emergency Management Agency Certification (IEMA) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
