Kia America is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technical Specialist to join our team. As a Field Service Expert, you will be responsible for investigating, analyzing, and repairing vehicle issues and conditions that occur in the field. You will also assist our dealerships and customers in handling difficult technical concerns and provide technical training and support to our service personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to our dealerships and customers, performing or supervising effective vehicle repairs and inspections.
- Technical Analysis: Determine, assess, and report the scope of technical issues with Kia vehicles occurring in the field.
- Training and Development: Provide technical training, updates, and information to our dealership personnel and report to management regarding vehicle quality and performance.
- ASE Certification: Achieve and maintain ASE (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L1, L3, L4) Certification and Kia FTS Certification.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Experience: A minimum of four years automotive industry experience, with a minimum of two years hands-on type automotive technical representative experience.
- Certifications: ASE (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L1, L3, L4) Certification and Kia FTS Certification required.
- Skills: Strong working knowledge of automobiles, ability to perform hands-on diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical work on automotive systems, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
