Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Collection Specialist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect specimens from patients in a timely and efficient manner
  • Verify patient identification and properly label specimens with required information
  • Input and assess information via hospital and laboratory computer systems accurately and timely
  • Instruct patients on preparation or collection for tests ordered and distribute collection containers when necessary
  • Organize and prioritize tasks, using time efficiently, and follow safety procedures
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
  • Three (3) month training in phlebotomy
  • Previous phlebotomy experience or training in formal programs that include phlebotomy may be considered as an alternative
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $40,000-$60,000 depending on location and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
