Position Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Accounting Supervisor specializing in Private Equity Fund Accounting to enhance our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance of financial records for various private investment partnerships and accounts.
- Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of cash, investments, and real estate assets.
- Record and reconcile transactions related to purchases and sales.
- Manage accounting for intricate corporate actions.
- Estimate and post monthly closing accruals efficiently.
- Calculate income and expense allocations for each partner, updating distribution waterfalls as per governing documents.
- Prepare and determine distributions and draw-downs.
- Generate comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
- Analyze and compute performance metrics for partnerships/accounts and individual investments.
- Collaborate with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, including a blend of Big Four public accounting and investment management.
- Strong expertise in reconciliation and account analysis.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the capability to resolve complex issues.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA designation is advantageous.
