Job Title: Fire Prevention Specialist

Job Summary:

The Fire Prevention Specialist will implement Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) concepts for single-function and multi-specialty programs within diverse organizational structures. This role involves conducting fire safety prevention activities, including testing fire safety systems, auditing, record-keeping, and overseeing building surveys.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fire safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement fire safety plans and procedures for various facilities and events.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate fire hazards and risks.
  • Provide training and education on fire safety and prevention to campus community members.
  • Respond to emergencies and assist in fire investigations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as fire science, safety, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in fire prevention, safety, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:

This position may require working outside of normal working hours, including evenings and weekends, and may involve exposure to hazardous materials and environments.
