Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credentialing Team Lead to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our Credentialing Department, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to our staff, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of physician credentialing applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Credentialing staff, ensuring compliance with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Regional Health Ministries (RHMs) to ensure seamless credentialing processes.
  • Develop and implement effective credentialing processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct file audits and provide feedback to staff, ensuring high-quality credentialing files.
  • Participate in the training and orientation of new team members, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance standards, ensuring team performance is aligned with Trinity Health goals.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credentialing and privileging, typically obtained through three years of post-high school education, training, or experience.
  • Three to four years of work experience in the healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of hospital settings, physician practices, and managed care organizations.
  • Two to three years of experience as a lead coordinator, team leader, or equivalent supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of NCQA and TJC standards, NPDB guidelines, hospital policies and procedures, and general licensing regulations.
  • Current CPCS and/or CPMSM eligibility by the National Association Medical Staff Services, with certification required within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in health administration or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple activities and projects simultaneously, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
