Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient rooms for admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Assist with personal hygiene tasks including bed baths, oral care, and linen changes
  • Serve meals and provide hydration and nutrition to patients
  • Aid patients with mobility and transfers, prioritizing safety
  • Observe and communicate changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team
  • Maintain cleanliness of patient care areas and medical equipment
  • Follow infection control protocols and practice proper body mechanics
  • Provide postmortem care under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Actively pursue opportunities for skill enhancement and ongoing education

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in acute or long-term care environments
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Nursing Assistant Certification (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification are mandatory
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Completion of a formal nursing assistant training program or equivalent experience
