Job Title: Adjunct Nursing Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Nursing Instructor to join our team at York Technical College. As an Adjunct Nursing Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching nursing students and providing clinical instruction in a variety of settings.

Job Summary:

The Adjunct Nursing Instructor will perform the following functions:

  • Make and post clinical assignments for students prior to clinical practicum day.
  • Supervise students who are providing direct client care.
  • Grade student written work required in the course, under the direction of the supervising faculty member.
  • Advise students of clinical progress.
  • Keep the course coordinator informed of student progress and/or concerns.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff on the assigned unit.
  • Keep formative student performance evaluation data and give weekly feedback to students.
  • Attend Team Planning and End-of-Course Meetings.
  • Attend Nursing Faculty Meetings as desired.
Requirements:
  • Hold an unencumbered, active, current license as a registered nurse in the State of South Carolina or another Compact state.
  • Hold at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
  • At least two years experience related to the area of assigned teaching responsibilities.
