About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at DeSoto Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language services to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication needs and goals of pediatric patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness in speech and language skills.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated care and effective communication.
Requirements
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current CCC-SLP certification and a valid Florida SLP license.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
