Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Kindred Hospital San Diego. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries or illnesses by providing expert therapy services.

About the Role

  • You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations to determine each patient's unique needs, and then creating a personalized rehabilitation program using the latest therapies and advanced technologies.
  • You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal recovery and independence.
  • You will communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
  • You will maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • You will provide educational programs and training to patients' families and caregivers, empowering them to support their loved ones' recovery journey.
  • You will stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and research findings to continually enhance your skills and knowledge as a Speech Language Pathologist.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA.
  • A minimum of six months of experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
  • An active and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
