About the Role

This role involves providing assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge and practice level competencies, as well as be a recognized clinical or workflow subject matter expert. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing key workflows and clinical protocols or guidelines for the department.

Responsibilities
  • Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Develops and implements effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Serves as a resource in the education, training, and mentoring of other staff members and as a clinical instructor for assigned students.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program.
  • SP-Licensed Speech Pathologist certification.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Valid Drivers License Class C.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent relevant experience in speech pathology.
  • Strong critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a fast-paced healthcare environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate must be able to organize their workload efficiently, manage competing demands, and maintain high levels of productivity and quality.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $63.12 to $78.89 per hour, commensurate with experience. Sutter Health also provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
