The Opportunity
This position is field-based, supporting Abbott's Vascular division, which is known for delivering innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective solutions for vascular disease treatment. Our extensive product line includes drug-eluting stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters, vessel closure devices, and more.
We are currently seeking a Clinical Specialist for Vessel Closure. The Clinical Specialist will focus on case planning, support coverage, and product promotion throughout the designated territory. This role involves educating and training hospital staff on our Vascular products, ensuring clinical education and sales support to meet sales objectives and enhance market presence, particularly in Vessel Closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical expert for procedures and products, providing support during hospital case coverage.
- Engage with Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, and hospital personnel to promote the complete Vessel Closure portfolio.
- Identify clinical needs and goals of existing and potential customers, demonstrating how our Vascular products can meet those needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff, identifying key decision-makers.
- Provide clinical support during case coverage, troubleshooting, and in-service education for our products.
- Deliver educational presentations and demonstrations to keep customers informed about the latest developments in our products and industry.
- Participate in clinical procedures within the Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology Lab, and Operating Room to ensure successful outcomes.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding products and services, collaborating with relevant teams to find effective solutions.
- Support the broader region with case coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Willingness to travel 50% within the assigned region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interacting with patients in a lab or operating room setting.
- Relevant technical certification.
