Key Responsibilities
  • Fills and labels prescriptions, providing accurate and timely medication information to patients and healthcare staff.
  • Supervises the activities of pharmacy technical support staff, ensuring efficient and safe medication preparation and dispensing.
  • Participates in the Medication Use Evaluation Program and Process Improvement Program, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to generate newsletters and draft policies and procedures for review by the Pharmacy Director.
  • Performs clinical interventions, including medication profile review, IV to oral conversion, renal dosing adjustment, and antimicrobial streamlining.
  • Documents clinical interventions and ensures safe care to patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Texas.
  • Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an in-house program or other accredited program.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a hospital Pharmacist, with knowledge of unit dose medication and IV admixture processes.
