Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the implementation of operational functions, including facilities, visitor services, technology support, risk management, OSHA compliance, security, transportation, inventory, and campus safety
- Develop and implement operational management systems, processes, and best practices
- Communicate with and manage operational vendors
- Order and manage inventory of custodial and operational supplies
- Conduct business analyses and identify trends and assess opportunities to improve operational processes and execution
- Initiate and facilitate timely and effective communication between staff, vendors, and external stakeholders
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resources, management, or another relevant field is required. A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- This position requires a motivated professional with broad-based administrative and operational experience, preferably in the youth development or arts sectors. Preferred candidates can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day implementation.
- At least 3+ years of previous experience with operation planning and management AND supervision of at least 5 direct reports
- Past experience and knowledge of best practices in bookkeeping, human resources, labor law, finance, visitor services, and general operations
- A passion for youth development and the arts
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a particular emphasis on communicating with young people, families, faculty, and educators within a diverse community
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Cultural competency and experience working effectively in communities of color
- An ability to translate goals into practical actions
- An ability to handle multiple priorities and projects concurrently
- Experience leading change and/or working in a start-up environment
- A degree in a related field, and/or equivalent experience and education
- Previous experience working in the nonprofit sector in the arts, arts education, or youth development fields
- Computer fluency in a Mac work environment and comfort with MS Office and Google applications
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum
