Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Good Samaritan. As a critical care professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages in various healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Perform and analyze arterial and capillary sticks on infants and pediatric patients as applicable.
- Diagnostic Techniques: Interpret pulse oximetry, capnography, and transcutaneous monitoring measurements.
- Consultation: Serve as a consultant to physicians and department staff on matters of respiratory care.
Additional Duties: May be called upon to act in the absence of the supervisor as applicable, complete other duties and special projects assigned, and perform airway management techniques such as tracheostomy tube changes and elective intubation upon request of a physician if applicable.
Job SpecificationsEducation and Experience: An Associate degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent training is required, with one year of experience emphasizing critical care.
Licenses and Credentials: A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care and a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency are necessary.
