Route Sales Representative

Job Summary: The Route Sales Representative is responsible for meeting customer needs through up-selling and cross-selling, and providing superior customer service by proactively managing all route responsibilities. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit new customers and ensure a profitable product mix
  • Actively participate in promotions and contests, training, and audits
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding customer service and route management
  • Ensure customer loyalty and retention, and provide outstanding customer service
  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle and maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular vehicle inspections
  • Handle and process customer payments and keep route paperwork current
  • Ensure timely and correct deliveries of complete textile loads, pick up soiled textiles, and maintain proper inventories in accounts
  • Monitor and report competitive activity and keep service agreements current and renewed

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and CDL when applicable
  • Excellent driving record and safe driving experience
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Ability to comprehend and follow direction, and good time management skills
  • Recognize colors, sizes, and types of product and count, add, and subtract accurately
