Job Title: Medical Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Experience Expert

CAN Community Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Front Desk Receptionist/Patient Experience Expert to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experience, ensuring seamless administrative operations, and maintaining the highest level of professionalism in a fast-paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately learn and utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system
  • Greet and direct patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner
  • Effectively answer and route phone calls, ensuring timely communication with patients and staff
  • Create new billing batches in EMR each morning and accurately enter payments
  • Collect payments for daily visits and account balances, maintaining accurate records
  • Verify current insurance cards and make copies as needed, ensuring up-to-date patient information
  • Update consents and privacy policies yearly, adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • Verify patient demographics at each visit, ensuring accurate records
  • Distribute clinic mail and faxes, maintaining a high level of organization
  • Coordinate patient transportation as needed, prioritizing patient comfort and convenience
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree or business equivalent
  • Three years of office experience, with a minimum of one year in a medical office setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems and office equipment, including multi-line phone systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Experience with referrals and EMR systems
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment, prioritizing patient comfort and confidentiality
