Position Summary:

The Operations Leader will oversee the operational execution across various business channels within a rapidly growing organization. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, logistics partners, and suppliers to ensure operational excellence, emphasizing collaboration, process orientation, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring service level agreements are met and fostering continuous improvement through regular business reviews.
  • Forecasting: Work alongside finance and sales teams to align revenue forecasts with distribution activities.
  • Packaging Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to create cost-effective packaging that meets brand standards and logistical requirements.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives and conducting monthly variance analyses.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Reverse Logistics: Manage the returns process, ensuring efficient handling and documentation of end-of-life activities.
  • Operational Support: Provide logistical support for various company initiatives, including retail transfers and promotional events.

Freight and Logistics Oversight:

  • Shipping Management: Oversee relationships with shipping partners, ensuring alignment with company objectives and managing claims as necessary.
  • Carrier Relations: Manage relationships with ocean and air freight providers and customs brokers.
  • Inbound Logistics: Facilitate the efficient receipt of goods by ensuring proper documentation is provided to logistics partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Growth Initiatives: Represent operations in global brand growth efforts, including establishing processes in new markets.
  • Sales and Operations Alignment: Lead internal collaboration efforts to ensure customer commitments are met and address inventory challenges.
  • Customer Integration: Assist in integrating new customer requirements into operational processes.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain key operational metrics.
  • Chargeback Management: Address chargebacks from retail partners and develop strategies to minimize future occurrences.
  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with technical resources to enhance operational efficiency and resolve issues.
  • Process Improvement: Work with peers to standardize and enhance operational processes.

Team Leadership:

  • Team Development: Establish team structures and training protocols to promote operational excellence.
  • Performance Management: Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and manage team development.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in business or engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in operations leadership roles, with direct experience in logistics and fulfillment.
  • Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills; proficiency in ERP and WMS systems; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment: This full-time position requires in-office presence and may involve occasional travel.
