We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Discovery Clubhouse. As a Preschool Learning Specialist, you will play a vital role in educating and inspiring young minds in our program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and be able to create a nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, and cognitive growth. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a curriculum that supports children's development, as well as fostering self-expression through flexible teaching approaches and positive behavioral reinforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Model appropriate behaviors and help cultivate secure, trusting relationships with the children.
  • Contribute positively to the children's social interactions and classroom dynamics.
  • Maintain clear, ongoing communication with parents, including documenting daily activities.
  • Adapt the program to suit the unique needs of individual children or groups.
  • Assist with potty training and diapering as needed.
  • Attend parent-teacher and staff meetings, collaborating with colleagues and management when necessary.

Qualifications and Expectations:

To be considered for this role, you should meet state-required professional development standards and be able to pass a background check. A high school diploma is required, while a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is highly recommended. Strong communication skills and a passion for nurturing young children are essential.
