Job Title: Chair, Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration

St. John Fisher University is seeking a highly qualified Chair for the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. The successful candidate will provide leadership and management for the department's strategic initiatives and operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the pharmacy practice and administration curriculum, including experiential education and the simulation center.
  • Provide leadership and management for all of the department's strategic initiatives and operations.
  • Develop clinical, teaching, and service partnerships with health care organizations and providers in the area.
  • Recruit, hire and retain faculty and staff in pharmacy practice and administration according to the needs of the program.
  • Conduct annual reviews and make recommendations for salary and budgetary requests.
  • Represent the Department on the Executive Committee.
  • Engage in teaching and scholarship in areas of expertise and interest.
Requirements:
  • Candidates from any pharmacy practice or pharmacy administration discipline will be considered.
  • Qualified applicants will hold a Doctor of Pharmacy, Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration, or other terminal degree.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of New York is preferred.
  • Candidates should have a record of academic teaching, scholarship, and service which will qualify for the rank of Associate Professor or higher.

  • Effectively work with multiple databases and student platforms.
  • Excel in connecting and building rapport with students and faculty.
  • Possess excellent customer service, as well as, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

St. John Fisher University is a liberal arts-based institution located just outside of Rochester, New York. Its faculty are committed to excellence in teaching and creating a student-centered learning environment.

Salary Range:

$130,000.00-$165,000.00 per year
