The Contractor Coordinator, Site Logistics – BMC is a key position within the INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA organization, responsible for the overall coordination of third-party supply chain service providers.
Key Responsibilities- Safety Leadership: Promote, ensure, and sustain commitment to operations with no harm to people and to the environment by visibly demonstrating Safety Leadership.
- Supply Chain Compliance: Support and promote Ineos 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules to ensure all Supply Chain Contractors have knowledge of and follow.
- Logistics Operations: Support Site Logistics SHEQ activities, meetings, and inspections to ensure compliance with Site/Supply Chain Operations policies and procedures.
- Environmental Management: Support environmental activities (including Operation Clean Sweep) to ensure compliance with Site standards and federal, state, and local regulations.
- Employee Involvement: Promote, ensure, and sustain appropriate employee involvement in SHEQ systems and processes.
- Incident Management: Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC), incident software system inputs, incident investigations, and action items.
- Contractor Management: Function as the Job Representative for Logistics-related contractors.
- Rail Operations: Coordinate and track progress of rail repairs and site rail maintenance activity by providing oversight to the contract provider for track maintenance.
- Permitting: Responsible for permitting all site logistics activities.
- Process Improvement: Drive improvements in planning and scheduling of track maintenance.
- Yard Management: Support maintenance, usage, and operation of the yard management software system by coordinating with the contract service provider to ensure accurate railcar location and railcar switching.
- Capital Projects: Coordinate and execute capital projects for Site Logistics by serving as the FEL lead and/or job rep and coordinate amongst departments.
- Rail Operations: Coordinate site rail operations activity by providing oversight to the contract provider for rail switching, car wash, and car repair.
- Facilities Management: Support operations and maintenance of the onsite bulk truck loading facility as required.
- Product Shipping: Support site product shipping activities.
- Improvement Opportunities: Interface with the manufacturing team and Supply Chain Operations personnel to identify improvement opportunities in the areas of SHEQ, Reliability, and Cost savings/Productivity and to execute same with proper sanction.
- SAP Support: Support SAP activities including creation of notifications, requisitions, and maintenance tracking.
- Quality Management: Support the quality management process and provide oversight to the day-to-day activities of Site Logistics to ensure operations meets or exceeds the requirements of customers and other stakeholders.
- Committee Participation: Participate on function/business/site committees as assigned.
- Team Leadership: Fill in for Site Logistics Team Lead as needed.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or college level credits beneficial.
- Experience: Five years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Skills and Competencies: Developed and reasonable interpersonal and communication skills. Able to accept direction and assignments and execute against agreed schedule. Proven ability to team with and influence diverse groups of people successfully. Possesses a track record of accomplishment in fulfilling assignments constructively and on time. Excellent operations knowledge and ability to learn and stay abreast of site and supply chain operations changes. Proven commitment and delivery of SHEQ compliance and performance for both site contractors and INEOS employees. Participates in and guides observations and audits of contractor personnel leading to corrective actions and improvement in safety and operational performance. Participates in and guides contractor training activities, both new hire and refresher training. Participates in and facilitates safety focus for site contractors including Job Safety Analysis (JSA's), Key Performance Index (KPI's), safety meetings, shift starting meetings, and lessons learned sessions. Completes safety incident and customer complaint reports focusing on root cause determination and effective corrective action. Defines personal success in terms of the whole team. Makes timely and effective decisions, includes use of good judgment and consideration of proper balance between benefits/risks. Creates strong morale and spirit, feeling of belonging in team, broadly shares both routine and important tasks with internal and external team members. Working knowledge of SAP.
