Job Description

At P&C Recruiting and HR, we are seeking an Electrical Engineer II to provide electrical engineering support to minimize downtime, increase profitability, and maintain compliance with government and environmental safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment to regulatory standards.
  • Complete electrical maintenance planning, budgeting, and upgrades for preventative maintenance.
  • Perform reactive maintenance by completing root cause failure analysis and identifying how to prevent future issues.
  • May supervise electricians and instrumentation techs on day-to-day activities.
  • Serve as a project manager, including detailing the scope of work, providing specifications, planning, coordinating, budgeting, and hiring outside contractors if necessary.
  • Conduct safety audits, walk around the site to check on issues and corrections, and monitor systems installed.
  • Review current electrical drawings and schematics and document what has changed, added, or deleted.
  • Design new and replacement control systems by evaluating appropriate electrical system upgrades.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience in electrical engineering.
  • Experience working with electrical control systems.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Project Management experience preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and time management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Proficient knowledge of various surface electrical grids.
  • Proficient in creating and reading electrical prints.
  • Proficient in applying the National Electrical Code.
