Job Summary

As a key member of the University Medical Center of El Paso team, the MRI Supervisor will oversee a wide range of MRI procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to coordinate tasks and responsibilities to manage patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:

Supervise assigned MRI Technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of patient care and imaging quality.

Department Management:

Assist with preparation and monitoring of the department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective allocation of personnel.

Quality Improvement:

Lead in the development and monitoring of department-specific systems and processes, focusing on improving the quality of patient care and imaging services.

Requirements:

Work Experience:

At least six years of experience as an MRI Technologist, with one year of supervisory experience required.

Education and Training:

Associates of Applied Sciences in Radiology is required.

Licenses and Certifications:

ARRT (MR) certification is required, with CPR certification also required.

  3. Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  4. Strong time management skills.
  5. Independent judgment, resourcefulness, and long-range planning abilities.
  6. Technical competence in tasks within the scope of practice of a MRI Technologist.
  7. Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
  8. Ability to use automatic injectors.
