MRI Supervisor

Job Summary
Performs wide range of MRI procedures on patients of varying ages, coordinates all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while patient is in department for procedures. Supervises assigned Technologists. Assists with preparation and monitoring of the department budget. Leads in the development and monitoring of department specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Work Experience:
Six years of experience as an MRI Tech experience required. One year of supervisory experience required.
License/Registration/Certification:
ARRT (MR) required; CPR Certification required.
MRT preferred. ARRT (R) preferred.
Education and Training:
Associates of Applied Sciences in Radiology required.
Skills:
- Possesses critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
- Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
- Possesses strong time management skills.
- Demonstrates independent judgment, resourcefulness and long range planning abilities.
- Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a MRI Technologist.
- Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
- Ability to use automatic injector.
