Job Summary

The Mammography Department Supervisor at University Medical Center of El Paso is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of the Mammography department, ensuring efficient performance of patient exams, and collaborating with Imaging Department Supervisors, Medical Director of Mammography, and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise technical and support staff in the Mammography department

• Assist with Mammography compliance aspects with Supervisor(s) of off-site Clinical sites

• Collaborate with Imaging Department Supervisors, Medical Director of Mammography, and Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services to achieve departmental goals

Requirements:

• Eight years of experience in Mammography procedures such as Diagnostic Radiology, Mammography, CT Scan, MRI, or Ultrasound

• One year of management experience

• MRT Texas Certified Medical Radiological Technologist required

• ARRT (R) (M) (B) (BD) required

• CPR certified

• Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences from an accredited Radiology school required

• Completion of MQSA course required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Ability to efficiently organize time to accomplish department's goals

• Knowledgeable of radiology department policies and procedures

• Proficient in use/knowledge of Hospital computer systems

• Highly trained in specialty areas of Mammography, including Needle localizations, Stereotactic Biopsies, Ductograms, Quality Control, etc.
