Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the College of Agriculture at Lincoln University of Missouri.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage calendars, schedules, and appointments for the College.
  • Process requisitions, initiate, transfer, and track paperwork within the Colleague system.
  • Procure goods and services as needed, ensuring compliance with university policies.
  • Coordinate and manage program budgets with supervision, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Submit and reconcile P-Card expense reports, maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain filing, database, and other record-keeping systems, ensuring confidentiality and security.
  • Prepare correspondence, meeting minutes, and reports, maintaining a professional tone.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, and manage email inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and materials, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Assist with HR paperwork, including time sheets, time and effort reports, leave slips, and new hire paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related field is preferred.
  • One year of office work experience is preferred, with experience in a higher education institution being a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
