Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our construction operations team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our construction crews and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and update project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Program task management and develop and maintain program file systems.
- Estimate revenue and customer costs based on provided estimating tools and work with others to develop estimates.
- Ensure stakeholder notification and buy-in, including communicating project status and progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete project close-out per company standards, including tracking accruals and ensuring accurate accounting.
- Schedule work and crew make-ups with the scheduler for internal and external use.
- Review invoices from subcontractors to confirm production and accurate accounting.
- Work with Accounts Receivable and Billing Department to ensure all revenue is accounted for and accurate.
- Forecast month and year for each project and program.
- Create purchase orders and design, review, and estimate take-offs.
- Work with internal support groups to set up projects in the accounting system.
- Remove obstacles and empower Operations to be successful.
- Constantly manage and monitor project progress, risk, and the quality of the customer experience.
- Manage project-level activities, including critical path monitoring/alignment, procurement, resource loading/forecasting/conflict resolution, and critical path risk identification/mitigation.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems.
- Lead efforts to gather all project-level status to report on project status to all stakeholders.
- Be responsible for tracking change impact and delay impact.
- Forecast and manage materials to facilitate scheduled work on time and under budget.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be authorized to work in the United States for this company.
- Have previous work experience in telecommunications construction in outside plant facilities.
- Have 3-5 years of experience as a Manager of construction crews.
- Have extensive knowledge of telecommunications construction requirements.
- Have 5+ years of experience in delivering Construction Telecommunications services or utility-related industry.
- Have experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be a problem solver and critical thinker.
- Be driven and self-motivated.
- Be proficient in MS Office Applications: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project.
- Have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum guidance.
