Position Title: Senior Turbomachinery Engineer - TurboMachinery/Pressure Vessels

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Turbomachinery Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and evaluation of technical components and systems within the scope of delivery, configuration of plant engineering solutions for customer projects in the field of turbomachinery, design and specification of technical components, assemblies and systems, and internal coordination as well as coordination between customers and suppliers and other disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and evaluate technical components and systems within the scope of delivery.
  • Configure plant engineering solutions for customer projects in the field of turbomachinery.
  • Design and specify technical components, assemblies and systems.
  • Coordinate internal activities and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and other disciplines.
  • Review and evaluate customer specifications, providing technical advice and guidance.
  • Develop and review purchase order specifications based on customer specifications, standards, and internal regulations.
  • Prepare assembly and commissioning documents.
  • Participate in technical negotiations with suppliers and customers.
  • Develop and standardize components and/or assemblies related to system and plant engineering.
  • Support during commissioning of the scope of delivery.
  • Lead electrical and automation engineering, including instrumentation of turbomachinery, including the engineering of packages, design, specification, and execution of EI&C components as a subproject manager.
  • Achieve goals for external packaging, ensuring project contractual obligations are met.
  • Implement legal and operational requirements, such as HSS, as part of project management.
  • Coordinate customer inspection and testing activities with the project PM.
  • Coordinate inspections and witness testing with the project PM.
  • Assist in resolving non-compliance issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Desirable knowledge of explosion protection and functional safety.
  • Team-oriented, systematic, and conscientious work approach.
  • Interdepartmental thinking and acting.
  • Ability to work in a team, with good analytical skills and a systematic and methodical approach.
  • Independent work and willingness to travel worldwide on occasion.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant turbomachinery packaging experience in complex projects.
  • Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
  • Experience with and use of tools: E3D (desirable), SAP, MS Office.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant international standards and guidelines (MRL, EN, ANSI, API, VGB, etc).
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
