Job Summary:

The Mechanical Assembly Specialist is responsible for completing mechanical builds or operations to print and sales order, throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work from operation sheets and books, blueprints, wire lists, shop travelers, rework and repair directives, computer-generated and other written and verbal instructions.
  • Generate, maintain, and follow materials pulls and assembly floor schedules. Move material and paperwork through to finish stores and maintain status records.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment.
  • May require lifting and use of overhead hoist assembly.
  • Keep equipment and surroundings neat and clean.
  • Reading and understanding simple drawings, arithmetic involving decimals and fractions, and the use of measuring instruments for calculating and recording. Ability to read electrical schematics and wire a plus.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year or more experience working in manufacturing assembly required.
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Forklift experience (stand-up and sit-down) a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
