Position Overview: Mechanical Assembly Technician

Role Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Assembly Technician is tasked with the assembly of new products, including but not limited to gearcases, wheels, and bottom blocks, as well as disassembling and cleaning customer-supplied rebuilds. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality products promptly. The technician is accountable for monitoring order due dates and adhering to provided routings.

Essential duties include:

  • Troubleshooting mechanical assemblies as needed.
  • Collaborating with the lead person, supervisor, and engineering department when challenges arise.
  • Gathering all components and subassemblies according to orders.
  • Conducting Crane/Fork truck inspections prior to use.
  • Following the assembly schedule to ensure proper job order.
  • Disassembling customer-supplied assemblies for potential rebuilds.

Qualifications:

Candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, possess computer literacy, and demonstrate strong communication skills. Previous mechanical assembly experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Flexibility to work varying hours, including overtime and weekends if necessary. Must provide standard tools and be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, performing some manual labor, and operating power tools.
