Position Summary:
The Equipment Operator is responsible for the operation of various machinery, trucks, and tractors for the maintenance, repair, and construction of mountain facilities.
Position Specifications:
- Housing: Potentially Available
- Expected Pay Range: $22.76 per hour
- Shift & Schedule: Full-time hours available
- Skill Level: Entry-level
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance on slopes and operate all machinery utilized by the Mountain Operations team, including but not limited to Skid Steers, Forklifts, and Backhoes.
- Oversee all equipment and ensure that any issues are promptly addressed and communicated to the Vehicle Maintenance team.
- Engage in physical labor as required by the diverse tasks necessary for resort operations.
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
- Follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Diagnose equipment issues accurately.
- Assist in the training and development of new operators.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment required.
- Previous experience in guest service required.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required.
- Capability to work outdoors in a high-altitude environment required.
Job Requirements:
- At least one year of experience operating heavy machinery required.
- Experience with power tools preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in English required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
The expected pay range for this position is $22.76 per hour. Compensation decisions are based on various factors.
