As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patients. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and effective operation of equipment, as well as providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct equipment system warm-up and quality assurance procedures to ensure safe and effective equipment operation.
  • Identify patients correctly by checking identification bands against requisitions prior to procedures.
  • Interpret exam requests and ensure history conforms to exam requested.
  • Position and instruct patients regarding procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Select proper exposure factors for procedures and arrange, attach, or adjust immobilization and supportive devices to obtain desired radiographic positions.
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of related topics, including radiation safety, universal precautions, and proper handling of requisitions.
Requirements:
  • Valid license to practice as a radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Successful completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
