As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of patient contact duties related to the operations of radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic X-ray images as directed by a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts equipment system warm-up and quality assurance procedures according to established guidelines to ensure a safe and effective equipment operation.
  • Correctly identifies the patient by checking patients identification band against requisition prior to the start of procedure.
  • Positions and instructs patients regarding the procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Selects proper exposure factors for procedure and arranges, attaches or adjusts immobilization and supportive devices to obtain the desired radiographic positions.
  • Acquires and maintains knowledge of related topics, including radiation safety, universal precaution, and proper handling of requisitions.
Requirements
  • Valid license to practice as a radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts required.
  • Must be certified by the ARRT.
  • Successful completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • No prior experience required.
