We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for patient diagnosis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting equipment system warm-up and quality assurance procedures to ensure safe and effective equipment operation
  • Correctly identifying patients and interpreting exam requests to ensure accurate imaging
  • Positioning and instructing patients to obtain desired radiographic positions and prevent patient discomfort
  • Selecting proper exposure factors for procedures and arranging immobilization and supportive devices to obtain optimal images
  • Adjusting lead shields and collimating to protect unaffected body parts from radiation exposure
  • Maintaining knowledge of related topics, including radiation safety, universal precautions, and proper handling of requisitions
  • Providing compassionate care to patients and responding to emergency situations as needed

Requirements include:

  • Valid license to practice as a radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Successful completion of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
