Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Tyonek Native Corporation. As a key member of our flight test team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance support to our aircraft, ensuring they are airworthy and ready for flight testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide maintenance support to our aircraft, including completion of maintenance test flights, fault isolation and troubleshooting, and management of internal contractor pilot and non-rated crewmember flight records.
  • Assist maintenance personnel as required with aircraft configuration changes and test execution.
  • Provide inputs to the Air Worthiness Committee.
  • Advises and assists Production Control and Logistics with support requirements for test execution.
  • Must be able to read and interpret aeronautical drawings and written procedures and formulate project estimates.
  • Assist Maintenance personnel with detailed test execution instructions and requirements.
  • Provides Test Engineers with current Maintenance status and test results.
  • Advises Test Engineers on post test result reports.
  • Experience with Quality Control functions.
  • Experience with different aircraft configurations involving avionics and ASE equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization and provide above average communication skills and customer support mentality.
Requirements
  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet the minimum requirements for an Aircraft Mechanic Level II or Electronics Technician Maintenance Level II.
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aviation maintenance, test and/or related experience in a comparable aerospace industry of similar size and operational complexity.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and formulate project estimates.
  • Must have experience in working with MS Office, Excel, MS Word and Power Point software.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices.
  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
