Key Responsibilities
  • Aircraft Inspection and Maintenance
    • Inspect all assigned aircraft to ensure they are airworthy and meet regulatory standards.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of aircraft components.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Utilize technical expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to optimal condition.
    • Interpret technical data from blueprints or manuals to provide guidance on complex issues.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Lead teams in complex aircraft tasks and provide guidance to lower-level technicians in repair and inspection techniques.
    • Participate in maintenance test flights and checks to ensure aircraft are airworthy.
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Utilize Government STAMIS for Army aircraft maintenance documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with aircraft configuration control and maintenance standards.
Requirements
  • A valid up-to-date A&P license.
  • Five years of aviation maintenance experience.
  • Five years of rotary wing aircraft experience.
  • Two years on the assigned Mission Design Series (UH60, AH64, and/or CH47).
  • US Citizen.
  • Available to travel up to 75% as required.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory.
Working Conditions
  • Work in Aircraft maintenance hangar or outside.
  • Exposed to various operational circumstances and environmental conditions.
  • Exposure to noise and hazardous substances.
Travel
  • May be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
  • Work in austere environments under challenging conditions.
