Job Summary

This role will involve coordinating special projects and conducting research and analysis of various departmental functions and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct operational research, productivity analyses, and management studies to assist in managing departmental operations, programs, and services: compile and monitor administrative and statistical data; research information relevant to tasks or projects; analyze data and identify trends; prepare or generate reports.
  • Compile and monitor administrative and statistical data pertaining to divisional operations.

  • Provide technical assistance and information to management to aid decision-making.
  • Perform financial reviews and analyses for the department: compile and evaluate operational data and cost histories; monitor and review billing activities, expenditures, and financial reports; conduct detailed cost analysis; make recommendations to improve cost and operational effectiveness; participate in budget development.
  • Coordinate special projects for the department, including planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of moderate construction/maintenance projects, management studies, introduction of new programs, and professional services.
  • Oversee professional contractors and/or consultants providing services for projects; participate in evaluating and selecting contractors/consultants; interface with and monitor contractors/consultants to ensure timely and quality completion of projects; facilitate cooperation with the project throughout the organization; provide information and support as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Public/Business Administration, a field related to assigned operation, or equivalent technical experience and certification.
  • Three years of experience in the area of assignment.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
