About This Role

We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the South Region. In this critical role, you'll manage financial transactions, maintain strong vendor relationships, and ensure timely and accurate payments. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will drive efficiency and contribute to the financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sort and distribute invoices to the appropriate department heads, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
  • Verify that invoices are properly approved and job coded, ensuring accuracy in every detail.
  • Assign corresponding GL codes to invoices and efficiently enter them into the system.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements, ensuring smooth financial operations.
  • Proactively reach out to vendors to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing invoices.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding payment status or other AP-related matters, delivering excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and other relevant accounting systems.
