Role Overview:
As an Aviation Engine Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting visual and dimensional inspections on engines, accessories, and related components to assess their condition for service return, adhering to approved data and customer specifications.

Your role will also involve cross-training in complementary skills to support production needs.


Key Responsibilities:


- Execute visual and dimensional inspections of products undergoing repair or overhaul to ensure compliance with approved data and customer specifications.

- Document and determine the modification status/configuration of products in repair or overhaul to verify adherence to relevant regulatory and customer standards.

- Ensure that inspected products are clean and in suitable condition for the necessary inspections outlined in the work instructions.

- Assess the repairability of products that do not meet applicable standards.
- Record inspection outcomes on the appropriate documentation.
- Generate necessary documentation for the repair of unserviceable items.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for cell processes.
- Participate in cross-training for other technicians as required to meet production demands.
- Observe all safety protocols and promptly report any unsafe practices or conditions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledgeable in identifying and interpreting conditions on products resulting from service operations.
- Competent in utilizing production process publications (graphs, charts, schematics, blueprints).
- Familiarity with the functions and operations of the products being inspected.
- Skilled in technical writing.
- Working knowledge of production management systems and related internal controls.
- Capability to complete the Detail Inspector Training & Development Plan.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted for approximately 25% of the workday.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Aviation Inspection is required.
- Experience with CFM56 Engines is preferred.
- Must be able to work day, evening, or weekend shifts as needed.
- Authorization to work in the US is required.
