Job Overview

SUMMARY: The Quality Assurance Inspector will support the Quality Assurance and Environmental Safety (QES) Facility Manager in managing the ISO compliance system, with a primary focus on various inspection processes including receiving, in-process, and final inspections. Additional responsibilities encompass non-conformance report (NCR) investigations and other quality assessments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct final inspections of products.
  • Interpret schematics and perform electrical testing on finished products up to 600 volts.
  • Evaluate control panels to ensure correct components and assembly.
  • Perform start-up inspections.
  • Execute in-process inspections.
  • Carry out receiving inspections.
  • Manage standard customer returns (RGA).
  • Assist in calibration processes by monitoring production staff and documenting torque logs.
  • Collaborate with the QES Manager on facility-specific NCR investigations.
  • Participate in internal quality system audits.
  • Support the QES Manager in maintaining appropriate labeling and storage compliance.
  • Assist in monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report safety hazards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the motor control or electrical industry.
  • Proficient in reading technical diagrams.
  • Experience in testing custom control panels.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Environment:

The Quality Assurance Inspector role is performed in a combined office and warehouse environment. The position requires regular use of hands for various tasks, prolonged standing, and effective communication.

This role involves lifting items up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 90 pounds. Close vision and color recognition are essential for this position.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate, and employees may be exposed to temperature variations typical of a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
