Job Title: 1st Processing General Labor

Butterball, LLC is a leading producer of turkey products in the U.S., and we're seeking a skilled General Laborer to join our team in the 1st Processing department.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and physically capable individual to perform various tasks on recently slaughtered turkeys or support the overall operations within the department. As a General Laborer, you'll be responsible for inspecting birds, trimming and removing parts, and ensuring a wholesome product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect birds for defects, bruises, scabs, and broken bones
  • Trim and remove parts as needed, ensuring a wholesome product
  • Sanitize knives and equipment
  • Monitor and inspect for fecal on the back of the birds
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with loud and noisy machinery
Requirements:
  • Proper PPE usage, including eye protection, hearing protection, and arm guards
  • Ability to stand for long periods, work with scissors or knives, and lift, carry, and hang birds
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and hygiene practices
Working Conditions:

May work in a damp environment, seasonably hot and warm environment, and around pungent odors.
