Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Elementary 24/25 to join our team at Camdenton R-III School District. As a key member of our health services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect care to students in compliance with school district policies and professional standards of practice.
  • Formulate, revise, and implement Individualized Health Care Plans for students.
  • Assist students with medications and maintain accurate medication records.
  • Coordinate health screenings, examinations, and immunization programs.
  • Act as a liaison between the physician, school, community, and child's home to improve the holistic health needs of school children.
  • Participate in the development of Individual Education Plans when appropriate.
  • Assist in the development of ongoing student safety and child protection programs.
  • Respect the dignity, confidentiality, and rights of all students and staff, upholding regulations and laws related to confidentiality, reporting of child abuse and neglect, and other health-related requirements.
  • Provide leadership in the planning of proper emergency care and first aid for sudden illnesses and accidents incurred during school activities.
  • Serve as a health consultant and resource person for health education in the classroom, assisting in the coordination of the Health curriculum.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate health records for all children and submit reports relating to the health of children to the state, health services coordinator, or other appropriate individuals or agencies.
  • Provide training in specialized health care procedures to staff members of the district.
  • Order supplies and assist in the management of the school's health services budget.
  • Monitor, report, and recommend changes for safety hazards and sanitary conditions in the school environment.
  • Maintain professional competencies through in-service educational activities and self-selected professional growth programs.
  • Aid in the formation of health policies, goals, and objectives.
  • Assist in the recruitment and orientation of new personnel.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited-licensed nurse program.
  • Possession of a valid nursing license in the State of Missouri.
  • Maintain a record of annual continuing education.
  • Current CPR Certification.
Salary Range

RN: $27.20 per hour

LPN: $18.50 per hour
