Position Overview
Join 804 Technology as a Sales Engineer where you will play a pivotal role in our proposal engineering team. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $32.00/hour and is structured for the AM Shift. Enjoy a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week with a hybrid work model that includes 2 days in the office. There is also a potential for a temp-to-hire opportunity.
Your Daily Responsibilities
In this dynamic and collaborative environment, you will be part of a creative team dedicated to crafting tailored proposals for Power Transformer Services and Installations. Our clients span various sectors, including Energy for Substations, Data Centers, Green Energy, and Power Plants.
As a vital member of our team, you will:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure optimal service delivery at competitive costs.
- Read and respond to customer RFQs and RFPs.
- Determine the necessary manpower and tools for Power Transformer installations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate sales, logistics, project management, and proposal development.
- Prepare and deliver technical scopes for planned inspections.
- Occasionally travel to job sites to discuss maintenance activities performed by our Field Service Engineers.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A technical background relevant to the service team, which may include a degree in Engineering, IT, Chemistry, Finance, Construction, or Design, or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Experience in the automation industry is advantageous.
- Previous exposure to transformers is a plus.
- A willingness to learn and support colleagues with new knowledge.
- An interest in process improvement, as this is a key focus area.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Comfort with various systems, including Salesforce, Excel, and Jira.
- A structured, collaborative, and positive attitude.
- A respectful approach to diverse cultures, religions, genders, orientations, and abilities.
