The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Services Engineer II to join our team at Safran Federal Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for deploying, installing, and maintaining our Precision Clock Systems.

Your primary focus will be on guaranteeing the reliability, safety, and robustness of our product designs. You will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a robust and resilient system, and have the opportunity to grow and improve upon that system.

You will also be responsible for supporting unique solutions to extend legacy hardware functionality or improve on the current system design.

Our Technology

Safran Federal Systems provides solutions and custom engineering services to U.S. Government agencies, defense organizations, and their contractors. We are authorized to work on the full spectrum of U.S. Government classified and unclassified projects, in addition to supporting strategic partnerships for key defense PNT technologies.

How You Will Contribute

You will interact directly with customers on-site, reporting remotely to our main office. You will analyze user needs while building, modifying, installing, and testing our systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting errors or malfunctions, performing unscheduled or routine maintenance, and providing support for unscheduled and scheduled user tests.

You will create, distribute, and maintain service or training manuals, and provide on-site support. You will handle moderately complex issues and problems, escalating more complex issues as needed. You will possess a solid working knowledge of our subject matter.

You Bring to the Role

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role. You should have a background in supporting client solutions on-site as needed. You should be able to commute back and forth to the customer on a daily basis, and work as part of a team.

You should have strong oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated track record of providing customer/client orientation while working on-site or remotely. You should be able to utilize analytical thinking skills, along with technical expertise, to solve complex problems.
