Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Court Liaison to join our team at Turning Point Community Programs. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with behavioral health diagnoses and criminal justice involvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling and support to clients in understanding the Mental Health Court process and program requirements.
  • Advocate for clients in all areas of treatment and across settings, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are protected.
  • Meet with clients in various settings, including jail, hospital, or residence, to provide support and guidance.
  • Accompany clients to all court-related proceedings and meetings, ensuring they are prepared and informed.
  • Refer clients to other support services as needed, such as medical evaluation/treatment, housing, and employment services.
  • Assist clients in obtaining proof of illness or other situations that may impact their court appearances.
  • Keep the treatment team informed about all pertinent information related to court proceedings.
  • Monitor clients' conditions to evaluate the success of treatment and make necessary adjustments.
  • Interact productively with the team to provide case management services to an identified group of clients.
  • Provide on-the-spot counseling that is both helpful to clients and consistent with the program's philosophy.
  • Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of clients.
  • Prepare and complete reports and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Provide after-hours support to program clients, including on-call coverage.
  • Transport clients and drive on program business using a personal vehicle or company vehicle.
  • Support other staff members as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Social Work or a related field and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in mental health services or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience as a consumer or family member of a person with a behavioral health diagnosis and/or criminal justice involvement may be substituted for the educational requirement.
  • Valid California driver's license and current vehicle insurance/registration.
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing a vehicle safety inspection.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
