Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive mental health promotion services targeting children, youth, adults, families, and service providers within the community.
- Conduct training sessions both virtually and in-person, focusing on community education regarding behavioral health programs.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with community organizations to enhance local capacity through presentations, consultations, and technical support.
- Engage with community stakeholders to identify and mobilize necessary resources.
- Implement and support countywide health promotion and substance abuse prevention initiatives.
- Participate in community-level planning, data collection, and evaluation efforts.
- Collaborate with professionals within and outside the organization to conduct health promotion services.
- Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives from community groups and public/private agencies.
- Prepare and deliver educational curricula focused on behavioral health.
- Understanding of behavioral health service principles, theories, and individual social development.
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods in behavioral health.
- Knowledge of psychological, physiological, and psychiatric terminology and practices.
- Awareness of existing public and private agencies and community resources.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues, organizations, community groups, and the public.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Competence in maintaining records and preparing reports.
- Experience in training and delivering presentations using PowerPoint.
- Background in advertising or sales.
- Outgoing personality with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
A minimum of one year of experience in delivering presentations related to community health or mental health is essential. Basic knowledge of mental health conditions, stigma, and social justice is also required.
Preferred Experience- Previous outreach, sales, or advertising experience.
- Experience facilitating prevention-focused training for community groups.
- Experience in organizing and implementing community workshops.
A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution, along with one year of clinically relevant experience, is required.
