About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Eastcut Sandwich Bar. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for driving the daily culinary operations of our restaurant, ensuring that we meet our goals in ordering, inventory, food preparation, cooking, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of hourly leads and team members to ensure seamless daily operations
  • Develop and implement menu innovation, meet revenue and cost-management goals, and foster a positive team culture
  • Work closely with management to hire, onboard, and train new team members
  • Maintain highest quality standards in food production and food safety, ensuring high scores on health department inspections
  • Manage inventory levels, foster vendor relationships, and place orders as needed
  • Assist in scheduling team member shifts to meet business volumes and provide excellent customer service
  • Practice Smiling Hospitality and ensure team members do the same, providing a five-star experience for all guests
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant
Requirements
  • Hospitality and/or kitchen experience required; management experience preferred
  • Previous culinary or hospitality education is a plus; current ServSafe Manager certificate is a plus
  • Ability to learn, train, and coach other team members in all aspects of operation
  • Natural ability to showcase Smiling Hospitality and inspire team members to do the same
  • Self-starter with the ability to challenge yourself, ask questions, work hard, and grow
  • Ability to be regularly present for scheduled shifts and occasionally work in hot or cold environments
  • Must be 18 years or older (NC ABC laws for serving beer and wine)
