Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold standards regarding staff attire, service quality, food presentation, and guest interactions.
  • Create a welcoming environment by managing lighting, temperature, music volume, and cleanliness.
  • Provide assistance and support to staff in their respective roles as needed.
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings in an engaging and motivational manner.
  • Facilitate informative and inspiring pre-shift discussions.
  • Engage directly with trainers and trainees.
  • Conduct thorough table visits to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Assist in staff scheduling, managing voids/closing comps, liquor inventory, and end-of-shift checkouts.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling policies and manage bank responsibilities.
  • Support bartenders and servers with change requests.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards, holding staff accountable.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all departments.
  • Manage liquor orders and oversee inventory processes for bars.
  • Monitor labor costs during shifts, with particular attention to overtime.
  • Work closely with the special events team to ensure proper staffing and food and beverage requirements for events.
  • Accurately account for special event close-outs.
  • Verify labor system accuracy at the end of shifts.
  • Oversee parties and special events in designated areas.
  • Guide staff in delivering exceptional guest service in accordance with established service protocols.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ensure adherence to disciplinary procedures.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of hourly staff members.
  • Develop strategies to enhance revenue generation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • TIPS and RAMP/Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent.
  • Willingness to work late hours.
  • Understanding of restaurant and bar operations.
  • Basic knowledge of state, federal, and local liquor laws, retail operations, and computer software (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Strong leadership, guest relations, decision-making, and scheduling skills.
  • Ability to foster positive interactions with staff and guests, prioritize tasks, motivate team members, and resolve conflicts tactfully.
  • High School diploma.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Point of Sales systems.
  • Some college education or a degree.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced, often loud, and can be stressful. The position requires prolonged periods of standing and the ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs using proper techniques.
