Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team at Aptyx. As an Assembly Operator, you will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies individually or on an assembly line, working collaboratively with other team members.
  • Perform visual inspections and/or measure components to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Package components meeting all customer requirements, adhering to strict quality control standards.
  • Operate injection molding machines and/or secondary equipment, maintaining cycles and standards while producing parts that meet customer requirements.
  • Perform a wide range of functions to process the product to a finished condition, ensuring that it meets quality standards and is properly packed.
  • Document inspection processes and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • May train new employees as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Participate in Kaizen or Lean events as required, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Will perform matrix runs, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform all cleaning and organizing of the work area to meet 5S requirements, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Refer problems to supervisor, escalating any issues that require attention.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervision, adapting to changing priorities and needs.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements
  • Some knowledge of machine and/or assembly operations, with a strong understanding of production processes.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion work, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and write in English, with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, as well as provide clear guidance to others.
  • Must have excellent attendance history, with a strong commitment to reliability and punctuality.
  • Must have good dexterity, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a positive attitude, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.
Work Environment

Aptyx is a fast-paced office and manufacturing environment that can be demanding and stressful at times, with some noise, dust, and thermoplastic and oil odors present.

Physical Demands

This role requires sitting, standing, bending, and walking over extended periods of time in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
