Role:
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling a diverse range of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components. Your role will involve:
- Following detailed work instructions and assembly sequences.
- Performing wiring, component installation, welding, and fitting tasks on assembly units.
- Making precise setups and adjustments to meet blueprint specifications.
- Ensuring quality and quantity standards are met during hands-on manufacturing tasks.
Safety and Communication:
Adhering to safety protocols as defined by environmental health and safety standards is crucial. You will be expected to:
- Engage positively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
- Interpret technical drawings and documents accurately.
- Complete additional assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. Additional training from a trade school or military experience is advantageous.
Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing or mechanical roles is highly preferred. Backgrounds in automotive repair, construction, or assembly environments will also be considered.
Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and electronically controlled equipment.
- Experience with heavy equipment assembly and quality measurement tools.
- Familiarity with operating air pallets, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
- Knowledge of welding and electronic/wiring assembly.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves:
- Regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of manufacturing components, with weights up to 25 lbs.
- Remaining on your feet and moving throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Performing repetitive motions with both hands and arms.
- Working safely with various chemicals and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
